Context

Academia 360 offered online chess classes through live sessions and recorded content, but the entire operation relied on manual processes. Every class required sharing links, sending recordings through WhatsApp, and managing student access individually. As the community grew, this model became increasingly difficult to sustain.

The problem

The business needed a platform capable of managing memberships, live classes, and recorded content from a single place, eliminating repetitive tasks and allowing the business to scale without increasing its operational workload. At the same time, students needed a simpler experience, with centralized access to their classes, recordings, and activity calendar.

My role

I designed and developed the platform end-to-end, defining both its functional architecture and user experience. The scope included:

I built a private membership-based platform where each student can access content according to their subscription plan. The system integrates:

The goal was to make both the administrative operation and the student experience work within a single ecosystem.

How it was built

The platform was designed around automation and scalability. Recordings are automatically added to the website after each class, access permissions are managed according to each student's active membership, and content is organized into a clear learning journey.

The solution eliminated dependency on manual processes without changing the client's existing teaching model.

Outcome

The platform transformed a completely manual operation into a centralized and automated system. The client was able to significantly reduce the operational workload associated with managing students and content, while students gained a more organized, accessible, and consistent learning experience. More than building a website, the project transformed a service dependent on manual processes into a digital product designed to scale.

What I learned

This project reinforced a key idea: the greatest impact often doesn't come from adding new features, but from designing systems that remove operational friction. When technology becomes integrated with the business model, the product stops being just a tool and becomes part of how the business operates.
